In loving memory of
Rice Krispy
Rossi-Ormon

Krispy was one of the first 3 mice that we adopted from Petco. My partner and I somewhat impulsively decided that we wanted to take care of some mice and give the underappreciated babies the the best life we could. Parmesan, Rice Krispy, and Princess Donut. Parm was a docile, sleepy and sweet mouse, Donut lived up to her name and got quite large. Krispy was the runt, a tiny mouse even for mice, that seemingly went from body to head with no neck. She was a rascal, the biggest personal. She would perch on the food bowl and appreciate her sunflower seeds to the fullest, she’d run on her wheel, and was usually the one to bite me. Krispy wasn’t always healthy, towards her last year we noticed an abscess forming on her (very short) neck, that gee quite large. We ended up taking her to the vet and she had to have surgery. Some people asked why we would spend so much money and go through that just for a mouse – because she was our family. After a close call Krispy made it through and I grew closer with her the next month when I had to give her 3 medicines twice a day orally with a syringe. In case anyone hasn’t done that, it’s not easy. But Krispy was a trooper and didn’t slow down a step afterwards, getting back on the wheel days after surgery. During her healing her sister donut took care of her, cleaning her and always sleeping by her side. My partner and I would always laugh at her antics. Brook and I loved Krispy. For a household of a handful of mice, a fish, a dog, and the two of us, her tiny heart shined some of the brightest. Brook and I love you so much Krispy.
