Miles-Morris, also known as Milo, passed away at home at the approximate age of 13. He was abandoned by his original family sometime in 2013 and I took him in late 2014. It’s not clear how old Miles was. He lived as an inside cat for almost 10 years. He loved laps, food, catnip and as he got older his hot pad. Not a big fan of toys but would play with them for short periods if you initiated play.
He was claustrophobic and was not crate tolerant. He disliked having his picture taken, afraid of thunderstorms and strangers. He got along with the other cats and single dog that shared our home. In 2016 when we became a home of 2 cats and a dog, he was the dominant cat and let you know it. As he got older, he preferred to be on my lap, parked on my face while sleeping. Draped across my chest if I was laying flat or putting my legs to sleep.
In 2019 while temporarily housed with a friend, I added an 8-week-old kitten to our family. He was immediately smitten with our new addition which I named Carthage-Phoenix. My roommate at the time started to call her Sparta Kitty, she was quite spicy. Hence her name was changed to Carthage-Sparta. Despite his deep affection for Carthage, she tolerated him in small doses.
He was the best cat, and he will be missed.
He is predeceased by my cats Ophelia, Bear and Ash.
He is survived by a very tolerant 8-year-old Noelle-Odette, my sole dog. 16-year-old Riley (cat) whom he loved to terrorize and my spicy 5-year-old Carthage-Sparta (cat) whom he adored with great affection.
